Mein erster Eintrag auf Deutsch14. Mai
Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal einen langen Eintrag nur auf Deutsch geschrieben. Am Anfang war es schwer, die richtigen Wörter zu finden, aber nach ein paar Sätzen ist es leichter geworden.

Am Nachmittag bin ich mit Anna im Park spazieren gegangen und wir haben die ganze Zeit Deutsch gesprochen. Ich war richtig stolz, weil ich fast alles verstanden habe.
Morgen möchte ich über meine Arbeit schreiben — mal sehen, wie viele neue Wörter ich brauche.

1. ser vs. estar [ser = esencia / estar = estado]
Two verbs for “to be”: identity and traits with ser, states and location with estar.
① Marta es alta y muy simpática.
② Marta está en casa y está cansada.
2. por vs. para [por = causa / para = finalidad]
Both mean “for”: por for a cause or means, para for a goal or purpose.
① Gracias por la cena de anoche.
② Estudio mucho para aprobar el examen.
3. pretérito vs. imperfecto [acción puntual / costumbre]
Past tenses: the preterite for a finished action, the imperfect for habits or background.
① Ayer comí paella en Valencia.
② De niño, comía paella cada domingo.
